Welcome, Outsiders!

Our small business started with one simple idea: gear and advice should come from real people, not just a "buy now" button. 

I'm Jenna, the founder of OTP, and like most of you, I'd rather be outside than anywhere else. Hiking new trails, paddling down choppy rivers, chasing snowstorms, or just sitting by a quiet creek- that's where I feel like I belong. I currently live in Massachusetts with my boyfriend, Brian and dog, Spruce. 

I've always felt like an "outsider", so I've turned it into a good thing. 

We're changing the way people think of the word "outsider". From here on, the definition of "outsider", is a lover of the outdoors.

After years of working in food service, I finally worked in a Ski and Dive center which was the greatest thing to ever happen to me. There, my spark was lit into a raging fire, and I knew that this is what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. From there, I started this Outfitter. 

Outsiders Trading Post is a small independent shop focused on quality outdoor gear for hiking, backpacking, paddling and snow sports. Every product we carry is something we believe in- gear that's reliable, practical, and built to last. 

But what really sets us apart is connection. 

If you have questions, you're not talking to a chatbot or a warehouse. You're talking to someone who actually uses the gear and has the "know how" to get you into the perfect setup for your next adventure. Everyone is different and so are their goals, so your gear should be fit to you specifically to fit your needs. 

Whether you're planning your first overnight trip or upgrading your pre-existing gear, we're here to help you feel confident heading outside.
